Our Mission Statement


“Building Partnerships for a Better Workforce”

The Metro North Regional Employment Board is a public-private partnership whose mission is to enable area residents to gain the skills to maximize their economic self-sufficiency and provide employers with the workforce they need to effectively compete in the changing world economy.

In response to the growing crisis in youth unemployment, The Career Place (TCP) in Woburn has introduced a new initiative, Career Launch, with the goal of helping two hundred Metro North youth find jobs this summer.  TCP is working with local employers to identify jobs and collaborating with local high schools and community-based organizations to recruit young people...

Metro North continues in its efforts to: create deeper relationships with business; enhance the capacity of career centers to provide focused services tailored to the needs of job seekers that are delivered at the right point in time; ensure access to career center services by customers with barriers to participation; foster communication among employers, training providers, education providers, community-based organizations, and career centers; and expand the horizons for youth most in need.
