University Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO)
promotes the integration of engineering into K-12 education.
STEM Partnership Summary
Mentoring: Tufts' Student Teacher Outreach Mentorship Program (STOMP) offers unique mentoring partnerships between industry employees and teachers.
The industry mentor works with the classroom teacher to integrate
engineering and technology concepts into the existing science, mathematics
or technology curriculum. In addition, CEEO posts a number of resources posted for ‘fellows’ from
the program -- however you don’t need to be a fellow to
access the lessons posted there. To learn more, visit the STOMP Web page: http://www.stompnetwork.org/tufts/
Workshops: Offered throughout
the year for both students and teachers, workshops can range
from hands-on applications and lesson plans to strategies for
teaching science and engineering concepts.
STEM Research: With a focus on improving technological literacy, CEEO
supports research by graduate students from the mathematics,
science, technology and engineering education program.
