The Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (NAMC) is a collaboration among industry, academia, and workforce development that was created to define and implement the Commonwealth’s advanced manufacturing strategy within the Northeast region of Massachusetts. This four-region partnership consists of community colleges, vocational technical schools, workforce development boards, and One-Stop Career Centers. Key areas of focus include: developing the pipeline for job openings; developing training and aligning education/training curricula with employer needs; and promoting manufacturing as a career option.

Partnership of the Year Award (Nov. 2016)
The Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (NAMC) was recently
presented with the 2016 Workforce Training Partnership of the Year Award at the
7th Annual MA Jobs and Workforce Summit, hosted by the Workforce Solutions
Group, at the Devens Commons on October 26, 2016. Governor Charlie Baker,
Congressman Seth Moulton, Secretary Ron Walker, and over 300 business, labor,
education, and workforce leaders gathered to discuss employment and training
strategies for the Commonwealth. Susan Quinones, Executive Director of the
Massachusetts Workforce Professionals Association (MWPA) and Bob Bauer,
Massachusetts AFL-CIO, presented the award to Brian Norris, Director of the
