Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund

The Workforce Training Fund (WTF), a state fund that is financed entirely

by Massachusetts employers, provides resources to businesses to train current and newly hired employees. Training grants are awarded competitively to employers, employer associations, labor organizations, and training providers. The fund is administered by the Division of Career Services.  For more information, call 1-800-252-1591 or access their website at www.detma.org/workforce.

In response to the growing crisis in youth unemployment, The Career Place (TCP) in Woburn has introduced a new initiative, Career Launch, with the goal of helping two hundred Metro North youth find jobs this summer.  TCP is working with local employers to identify jobs and collaborating with local high schools and community-based organizations to recruit young people...
